SF CHRONICLE— Milk Cloud Bakery, a Bay Area popup known for its pillowy Japanese-style milk bread, is ready to open its first fixed location.

Chef-owner Liz Khuu is taking over the home of La Noisette Sweets at 2701 Eighth St., Suite 116, in Berkeley. She plans to offer plush shokupan loaves, Basque cheesecakes and sandwiches filled with jammy eggs or fruit and cream, along with coffee and tea.
