The Berkeley Legacy Business Program recognizes and celebrates businesses and organizations that have operated in Berkeley for 25 years or more. Berkeley is home to more than 200 Legacy Businesses that have helped shape our community and make our city unique. From longtime neighborhood favorites to businesses that have become Berkeley institutions, our Legacy Businesses represent decades of entrepreneurship, creativity, resilience, and community.

Are You a Berkeley Legacy Business?
Has your business or organization been operating in Berkeley for 25 years or more?
We want to make sure Berkeley’s longtime businesses are recognized. If your business qualifies and is not currently included in the Legacy Business Program, let us know. Email the Office of Economic Development to add your business. All Legacy Businesses will receive a certificate from the Mayor and a static window decal to display on your storefront along with a digital logo for your website.
The Berkeley Legacy Business Program is a partnership of the City of Berkeley Office of Economic Development, Mayor Adena Ishii’s Office, and the Berkeley Chamber of Commerce.
